Captain's Personal Log.

My first one.

I never expected to Captain the Montana. I was certain Captain Adams would be here forever, and I'd move on to another ship. Maybe a larger ship. But apparently the brass had other plans. Captain Adams was summoned to Starfleet Headquarters for some new assignment, and they asked me to take his place here.

I'm still kind of in shock. I haven't been an XO for as long as I expected to be. Not that I can't do this. In fact, it feels great to be Captain here. I trust this crew with my life.

First things first, time to select my replacement. I know exactly who I'm going to ask first.
