Multiple universes, multiple Murphies?

Executive Officer's personal log.

We just got home from a crazy adventure. Two trips through a black hole. I still can't believe everything turned out okay. Starfleet's top scientists say this was a one in a million event that we somehow accomplished twice.

*sigh*

On top of that, we had found ourselves in some sort of parallel dimension. And we had been replaced here by our counterparts from that dimension. I find myself wondering what my counterpart was like. Was he an exact twin, down to my mannerisms and personality? Or something different, something sinister like the reports from the Enterprise? Or was he even there? Did his life take a different path from mine?

*pause*

And is he the only one? How many of these dimensions are there?

I think I'm going to need some time to come to terms with all of this. After we are officially debriefed, I might put in for some time off.
