What is Going on?

Captain's Personal Log, stardate unknown. The Montana returned to Earth (from her last mission) to find another Earth--one that we never knew. Here, Earth appears to have been conquered by the Klingons and there is no sign of the federation. Have we travelled in time or to another universe? The bottom line is: we just do not know. I would never say this in front of the crew, but I am worried. What we do next could determine the fate the place we call home......
